The Empty Tomb

A Journey Through the Moment That Changed Eternity

Step Inside the Story

As you walk into this display, you are not just entering a space — you are stepping into a moment that altered the course of human history forever.

To your right, you’ll see a table displaying symbolic artifacts that represent the suffering Jesus endured on the path to the cross:

  • The Crown of Thorns – pressed into His brow in mockery and cruelty.

  • The Roman Spear – which pierced His side to confirm His death.

  • The Scourge – a brutal instrument of flogging.

  • The Wine-Dipped Sponge – lifted to His lips in His final moments.

  • The Nails – driven into His hands and feet, fastening Him to the cross.

Each of these objects tells the painful reality of what Jesus bore for us — not just physically, but spiritually — as He took upon Himself the sin of the world.

To your left lies the place where Jesus’ body was laid. The stone is rolled away, the space is empty, and the folded grave clothes remain — a quiet, powerful sign of His victory. The folded linen reminds us: Jesus’ work is finished, and He has risen.

Scripture Reference

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.”
— Matthew 28:6 (NIV)

The empty tomb is not just a symbol — it is proof of Jesus’ defeat over sin, death, and the grave. His resurrection means that forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life are available to you today.

Jesus didn’t just die for the world — He died for you. And He rose again so that you could have life, hope, and a restored relationship with God.

Call to Salvation

If you have never placed your faith in Jesus Christ, this moment can be the beginning of your new life. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead can raise you to new life today.

Want to begin that journey?
We invite you to pray and talk to God — He is listening:

“Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I ask You to forgive me, change me, and lead me. I give You my life today. Amen.”

If you just prayed that, we would love to celebrate with you and support you. Please visit the next station or speak to one of our team members — you’re not alone in this!
