Step Into the Upper Room
To your right, you will enter the upper room — a quiet space where Jesus gathered with His closest friends for one final meal before the storm of betrayal, suffering, and death would begin.
This was no ordinary dinner. It was filled with meaning, emotion, and deep love. Jesus, fully aware of what awaited Him, chose to spend these last hours in fellowship, service, and teaching. He broke the bread, poured the wine, and gave new meaning to these simple elements: “This is My body… this is My blood.”
Here, in the face of darkness, Jesus showed light. He washed His disciples’ feet. He offered peace. He spoke of love. And He gave us a lasting invitation to remember Him — not only in ritual, but in relationship.
Scripture Reference
“While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to His disciples, saying, ‘Take and eat; this is My body.’”
— Matthew 26:26 (NIV)
The Last Supper is more than a historical meal — it’s a picture of God’s heart. Jesus knew betrayal was coming. He knew the cross was near. And still, He chose to love, to serve, and to offer Himself for us.
In this moment, we see the depth of His compassion and the beauty of His grace. He gave thanks, even in sorrow. He gave love, even to those who would flee. And He gave His life, even for those who didn’t yet understand.
As you stand in this room, consider what it means that Jesus made space at the table — not just for His disciples, but for you.
He invites you, just as you are, to receive His love, to walk in His grace, and to share in the new life He offers.
Will you take your place at the table?
